Snow Much Fun!

I honestly didn't think that it would be that much of a snow storm...boy was I wrong! Here are some pictures from our fun time in the snow!
The snow is coming down and coming down and coming down!
We decided that we had to let Andrew get out and play in the snow. I bundled him up as best I could- without any snow gear. He walked outside the garage and immediatly sat in the snow!
Gracey the snow dog really enjoyed the snow. She would run and roll in it and bite at it. She was so happy to be in the snow!
Our snow covered house. We measured the snow at 12 inches! There were several big snow drifts that went up past my boots!

Andrew taking a spill in the snow!
More fun in the snow! He had a lot of trouble walking around in the snow.
Andrew and Gracey taking a quick break!
Andrew and I enjoying the snow. It was so nice outside today. The temperature was in the mid 20's, but it sure didn't feel that way.
Andrew realized that he could walk in the tire tracks much easier.
Andrew got all wet, so we decided to go in. We took a quick trip to Wal-Mart to try and find a snow shovel, they were out. Then, we went and ate some lunch at Chili's. After we got home Andrew wanted "more snow" and he wanted a snowman. I was trying to figure out what I could do to keep him dry. Our neighbors put baggies over their little boy's mittens, so I thought I'd definitely do that. I just really wanted to be able to keep his legs dry. I did put his thermal pj's under his pants, but that didn't really help as much as I wanted it to. So....I rigged up what I like to call "The Redneck Snowsuit."
Yes, that is a trash bag! I put A in the trash bag, cut holes for his feet and stuck them through. Then, I put them in his Uggs and tucked in the trash bag. Let me tell you, he stayed dry and the force flex trash bag didn't break either!
He quickly got rid of the baggies on his hands and the mittens. He didn't enjoy getting his hands in the snow.
Helping Daddy shovel the driveway.
Our snow girl. I built this- with no help from anyone- especially for Andrew and all he said when I was done was, "Snowman turn on." When I told him the snowman didn't turn on he said, "More batteries" (he says that for anything that doesn't turn on). I said it didn't need any batteries. He said, "Go Wal-Marts, more batteries" (he has started saying "go wal-marts" when we are out of anything). I told him no, we didn't need to go to Wal-Mart and that a snowman was just to look at. He said "oh" and walked away. I am the only one who appreciated the hard work and dedication it took for me to build this snow girl!
We decided to let Ally out to see the snow. He didn't like it at all. Gracey really wanted to play with him. Andrew kept saying, "Ally eat snow."
Gracey the snow dog!
Jason decided to push Andrew in the sled. He didn't seem to like it too much at first. Later he did!
Andrew was so tired after all our fun in the snow. He came in and took a two and a half hour nap! That was great! I don't know when all this snow will melt, but we're having a great time playing in it!

What fun! I loved your redneck snow suit. It was a very pretty snow. I loved your snow lady. The couple across the street did a man and woman snow people holding hands!
