Pink or Blue? The Verdict Is In!

It's A Girl!!!
We had the ultrasound today and they said with about 90% accuracy that baby number two is going to be a girl! I am so excited!! Jason was looking forward to a house full of boys, but I think that he's warming up to the idea of a little girl! Everything looks good so far, so we're thankful for that!

Gracey the Great White Dog!

Gracey Before

Gracey After

We got Gracey shaved for the summer the other day and Andrew and I went to pick her up and were surprised to find that underneath all of that hair, she was practically white! Last summer when we got her shaved she looked kind of patchy white and golden, but this time she is white. Her face, tail, and the bottom parts of her legs are the only things golden about her. Andrew didn't know it was her for a while. I kept saying go pet Gracey (she'd be right in front of him) and he'd walk to the backdoor and say "Gracey side" (Gracey outside). He thought she was outside. It was kind of sad! I'll have to say, she is much happier with her new do!

Happy Birthday Jason!

Tuesday was Jason's 29th Birthday. Andrew and I spent the day getting steaks, shrimp, potatoes, and a cookie cake for our little family celebration. Jason loves steak and shrimp, but always has to make it himself, so I decided to do it for him- all but the grilling part, we both agreed that it would taste better if he grilled it- I did marinade everything and have it ready to go on the grill when he got home from work. We hope he had a happy day!
Here is his big cookie cake- sad thing is, it has been left home with Andrew and I and we've eaten most of it ourselves!
Happy Birthday Daddy!

Andrew loved the cookie! He was covered in icing!

Andrew keeps asking for more "cookie". He will pull a chair over to the counter and climb up to get more of the cookie cake!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a Happy Father's Day this year! We started out by going to church, we planned to go to Sunday School after church, but we went by Andrew's class and he saw his mommy and didn't want me to leave him- so I didn't! (Andrew and I are getting way too attached with me being home with him all day every day!) Jason wanted to go home anyway, because he wanted to mow the yard- yes, he wanted to! My family was coming up to bring Andrew's swing set and he wanted the yard to look perfect! So, we headed home and Jason mowed the yard to prepare for the swing set. Mom, Dad, Mere, and Don got to our house around noon and we went to eat lunch at PF Changs- Jason's favorite place! After lunch we went outside and watched Dad and Jason build Andrew's swing set. I thought it was funny that it was Father's Day and they were working so hard to put together that swing set for Andrew. That's just what good father's do! They work hard to make their kids happy. Here are a few pictures from our day!
Andrew's Nana sent him a water table, he loves to fill it up with the hose and then pour all the water out.
Here he is filling up the bucket so he can pour it into Gracey's bowl.

Don pulled Andrew around the backyard in his wagon.

The swing is up and Andrew loved it! He almost passed out from the motion of the swing.

Here they are with the finished product. Dad, Don (my grandfather), Andrew, and Jason. These are all the great dads that I know. I hope someday that Andrew grows up to be just like them.

A Big Boy!

Today Andrew got his haircut- it was his forth haircut, but for some reason this haircut made him look much older then the last ones. He will be 21 months old on the 15th, so I thought I'd share some of the things that Andrew is able to do these days.
* He says lots of words and is starting to put words together and make sentences
* He LOVES to go outside and play
* He loves animals- especially our cat, Ally
* He can take out electrical outlet covers
* He loves the vaccum cleaner- he calls it the "vaccy" and loves to watch me vaccum and will sit and pretend to vaccum and play with the attachments for hours
* He weighs about 26 pounds and is holding steady with that weight
* He never sits down once he's awake. He only sits to eat. No kidding!
* He mimics everything

If you notice the big bump on his forhead, that's where he fell on the concrete. He was walking Gracey and she accidently pulled him to hard and he fell down. Ouch!

Sliding and Swimming

Well, we've been having a pretty fun summer this far. Andrew is always busy and we just try to keep up with him. Andrew spent a long weekend in Conway while we went to El Dorado for Jason's 10 year high school reunion. The reunion was kind of blah, but it was great to see some friends that we haven't seen a quite a while. We really enjoyed our visit. We spent a couple of days in Conway too. My sister Carol and her little girl Jenny Grace came to visit and she and Andrew got to play. They also did a lot of swimming. Andrew didn't really want to swim at first, but later on he loved it- as long as his Grandad was swimming with him. I'm planning to put him in swimming lessons next summer. I just wanted to wait this summer with his tubes, even though they say it's ok. Right now he just enjoys splashing on the steps and climbing in and out of the pool. Andrew has really started saying a lot. He can pretty much understand anything you tell him and we can almost understand everything he is telling us. The most important thing he tells us is that he wants to go outside! I have gotten Andrew on a great summer sleeping schedule- he goes to bed around 9 or 10 and gets up around 9 or 10. I love it! He understands the importance of sleeping in during the summer!
This pregnancy is moving along. I'm feeling quite a bit better, I still have sick spells- like the other day at the spa and in the car on the way home from El Dorado (thank goodness for a Wendy's sack...), but it comes and then goes quickly so that's good. We find out on the 30th if the baby is a boy or a girl, so we're looking forward to that. That's about all that we've been doing. I've been trying to clean my house by myself- well, with Andrew's help- and that's coming along. My goal is to get it all cleaned up this week! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
This is half of Andrew's new swing set, my parents got one for their house and it doesn't fit right in their backyard so they are going to bring it up to our house! Yea!

Andrew enjoys sweeping off the patio
Relaxing after a hard day of swimming
Thinking about getting it
Here I come
Filling up the lawn mower- using the air pump
Andrew enjoys all the gadgets more then the toys. He had more fun with the air pump then the pool toys!
