I had an ultrasound yesterday, because I had measured small at my last visit and the DR just wanted to make sure there was no reason for it. There wasn't thank goodness. Madelyn is still definitely a girl and weighs in at 3 lbs and 10 ozs. She is a little smaller then Andrew was at this point, because this was when he was born, but she seems to be hanging in there and will hopefully make it until her scheduled C-section date of November 13- the day before my birthday! He said that everything looks good and the one thing that noticed that we thought was funny was her full head of hair! So, basically things are going well. I'm just being overly prepared for an early bird, just in case, but I think she's planning on staying in there. I'm just going to keep working and doing what I've been doing until it's time.
Also, I've got two new posts about Andrew so keep on reading!
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
Go Hogs Go!
We took Andrew to his first (and last) Razorback game of the season. He seemed to enjoy himself, as long as Jason or I were accomidating his every need! I think it was just late, he hadn't had a good nap, and there were so many people around. Or, it could have just been the pregnancy hormones, but at one point I swear I was going to just scream! Before the game, we got Andrew all decked out in his Hog gear and we had to go to the Razorback shop to find me a shirt that would fit (yes, I bought my first XL t-shirt, and you know what- it fit great!) and Andrew found this stuffed Razorback that is also a puppet and plays the fight song. So, being the good mom I am and instead of letting him throw his fit and learn that you can't have everything you want in life, I just bought the hog. I didn't put it down the entire day! I guess it was a good purchase. We sat indoors with the Hinds (as we usually do) and that was perfect for him, because we could get up and run around and sit at a table to eat our dinner of hot dogs and chips. Andrew finally had enough by the 3rd quarter so we had to get out of there! It was a good time, but next season we're going to spring for a babysitter! If anyone sees me at the game with my 2 under 3- please pinch me on the arm and ask me if I've lost my mind!

Chuck E. Cheese
For Andrew's actual birthday, Jason and I thought we'd be "fun parents" and take him to Chuck E. Cheese. Now this was a place that I wasn't planning on ever telling him about, but I've been feeling kind of guilty about him not being the center of attention when the baby is born, so I've been trying to do as many fun things as possible with him. He actually enjoyed CEC. He really liked the pizza and he liked riding on the things that you could ride on. He did not like Chuck E at all, but we weren't shocked since he didn't like any of the Razorback mascots either. Jason and I also learned that we are the world's worst arcade game players. We only won 70 tickets- together and we had 25 tokens between us. Here are some pictures from our adventure at CEC- the only dramatic incident was when we were leaving and realized we left Andrew's blankie inside! Thankfully, it was under the table we had eaten at!

Baby Furniture is Here! Almost...
We got in some of the baby furniture Friday. The bed and the top of the dresser came in, but for some reason the dresser was shipped later then the rest of the furniture. We decided to go ahead and pick up what was in so we could get a start on the baby's room. We got her bed set up and all of her bedding washed and put on the bed. We even hung the pictures over the bed. The rest of the room just has stuff everywhere, but it's coming together.
Andrew's 2nd Birthday Party!
Andrew will be 2 years old on Tuesday! I can't believe it. It just doesn't seem right. We had his birthday party at our house on Saturday afternoon. I didn't really have a theme for this year's party, last year I did a safari theme. I was trying to think about what Andrew really loves and as most of you know, it's a vacuum! So, I had Rick's Bakery make a vaccum cake. It was the first vacuum cake they had ever made. It really turned out cute. We had Dickey's BBQ catered in. This was the best idea, because they delivered the food, set it up, and provided all the plates, napkins, cups, etc. It really was great, because I don't cook much and it just saved so much time and energy that I don't have a lot of these days. We invited friends and family and had a great turn out at the party. The weather cooperated great. It was a little humid, but it wasn't too hot to play outside. I think Andrew had a great time and so did we! Here are several pictures from the big day!
Let the Nesting Begin!
Well, I had pictures for this post, but my camera, camera cord, and computer are not cooperating with me and I don't have enough patience to figure it out today. Things have been busy around our house. Jason, Andrew, and I have been on a cleaning frenzy! Last weekend we cleaned out the garage, moved all the furniture out of the baby's room, moved the mattress to our upstairs guest room, and got out all of Andrew's baby stuff. Andrew was so interested in all that was going on. He points to things and says "bobby" that's how he pronounces baby. It's really funny! He also is pointing to my tummy and saying "bobby"....the only problem is he says that about his tummy and Jason's tummy! I just hope he doesn't start saying that to everyone! This weekend, since it's a long weekend, I have big expectations for us! We're going to get three closets cleaned out, the upstairs guest room fixed up again, and get the entire house cleaned up. Who knows what else we may do! Jason loves to have a project so all this "nesting" is right up his alley and Andrew loves to help clean and mess with everything we get out, so it's a win-win for all of us!
On another note, I found out from a friend that the Rhea Lana's consignment sale lets pregnant women come in a day early to shop. I thought this sounded like a great idea! I didn't find out until about 6:00 when I could go, so I printed my coupon, bathed the boy, loaded the stroller, grabbed Jason and we headed to the Hammon's Center. The line was sooo long. Little did I know, the pregnant women didn't have to wait in the line. Once I got to the ticket lady she said "Oh, you didn't have to wait in that line. You could have just come on in." I'm thinking, why say this in front of my impatient husband? We got in there and it was like an explosion of baby clothes! I barely made it through one section of clothes. I just stuck to the 0-6 mos. section. I ended up with several footed sleepers and a couple of cute outfits. (I had pictures, but my computer is being uncooperative). I also bought a couple of headbands and bows (these were not used bows or headbands, because I'm kind of particular about that..you know, headlice..) The 40 minute wait to checkout was the worst part, but it was worth it. I have decided that I am going to consign Andrew's stuff next time they are in town and probably baby girl's stuff too. I've heard people make really good money doing this with their clothes. They also take toys, strollers, pack and plays, etc. I think it's really easy to do. I'm going to check the website and see what I can find out about doing it.
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I have gained 11 pounds this month. I couldn't believe it either! I knew I had gained weight, but I wasn't sure how much. What's funny is I am already bigger then I was with Andrew! Her heartbeat sounds great and you could really hear her move. My DR said that she sounded very active. I don't know how I feel about that! I already have one very active child. I was hoping she'd be the calm one! He said that I was measuring small this month (a 24 instead of 28), but he says it's not anything to worry about. So I'm not worrying about it. Her heartbeat is strong and she's moving all the time, so I'm happy. We are going to have an ultrasound in two weeks. He said they usually do it at 32 weeks, but considering that I had Andrew at 32 weeks he wants to go ahead and do it early. I feel great and have a good amount of energy. With Andrew I barely had enough energy to get through work. This time I am enjoying being back at work and I can actually keep up with things at home! It still doesn't make me want any more kids after this, though!
I'll try to post some pictures once the computer decides to cooperate with me!
