For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
No Tubes Today
In my last post I mentioned that both the kids were set to get tubes today. Didn't happen. Neither of them are well enough to get them, but neither of them are sick enough to stay home- thank goodness! They have both been battling a nasty cough and runny nose. We're waiting until November 9 to do the surgeries. We've got several things coming up in the next couple of weeks and that seemed like the best time. It is the week of Madelyn's 1st birthday, but they assured me that she'll be feeling fine (I know that she will, because Andrew was fine after his tubes) and I'm hoping that Andrew will be a little calmer during her birthday party and not take over! They said with him getting his adenoids out too, it might slow him down for a couple of days. In the meantime, Madelyn has finished her antibiotics and is starting to pull on her ears...AGAIN! I'm really hoping that the tubes will help both of them to feel better. I am also going to tear out my carpet and put down wood floors (by I, I mean a flooring installer). I'm planning to do this in the living room, hallways, stairway, and upstairs playroom. I am sick of the carpet that we have. It never looks clean enough and we have terrible allergies, so I think this should help with that problem. My goal is to be able to make it at least one week without one or both kids needing to go to the doctor. We've gone every week since August. They always ask if my kids are in daycare and tell me that kids in that setting get sick more often and then give me this look of pity, because I don't stay home with my kids. I want to tell them that my kids are not in daycare, they are in PRESCHOOL! Yes, my 11 month old is in preschool. There is a difference. Plus, I direct the preschool and I'm there everyday and I know for a fact that it is VERY clean. Probably cleaner than my house! That's just a pet peeve of mine. I know they have to ask that question of everyone, kind of like how they have to ask if your child is exposed to any second hand smoke. I hate that question too, because I dispise second hand smoke! Why would I expose my kids to that? Oh, by the way, I do love our doctors! They do a great job with the kids and take excellent care of them. So, a couple more weeks to go until the big surgery day. I'm sure it will be here before we know it!

I do hope the children get well. It's so hard when they are sick. Melanie and Bailey are also getting wood floors put down.
