For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
More changes for us!
No, not another baby! We're quite content with just the two! Ha! This is more of a career change in my department. Ever since Madelyn was born I explained to Jason that there was no way I was going back to work if I couldn't take Madelyn with me. Easier said then done seeing how I am a kindergarten teacher. I also know that being a stay-at-home-mom is just not my specialty, so I was kind of at an impass. Well, the week that Madelyn was born I found out that the director position was open at Andrew's school, which happens to be at our church. The funny thing about that is that I had told Jason that being the director would be my "dream job"! I was approached by some church members to consider the position, but obviously I was having a baby that week and so my thoughts were kind of consumed! Before Christmas I spoke to my pastor and let him know that I was very interested in the position and would love to interview for it. After the new year- and all the snow days- the interview process started. They were very tough interviews, including one where I taught the staff inservice. Jason and I prayed very hard that God's will would be done for our family, because we really felt that this would be the best thing for us. I would be able to be with my kids all day and do a job that I love. Plus, I would have some flexibility that I didn't have with my current job. So, yesterday I found out that I was chosen for the director position!!! I am so thrilled to be able to do this job and be there for my kids at the same time. The most difficult part was telling my principal and assistant principal that I would be resigning from my position. I was very nervous to tell them, but it could not have gone better. They said that I would be missed, but they understood that this was the right thing for me to do for my family. In the meantime I am working on a letter of resignation and getting prepared to start in as director March the first. I am so excited, because I am going to get to design the curriculum for the preschool, which is something that I absolutely love doing! I am also looking forward to being on staff at our church, which I love! So, more changes around our house, but definitely for the better!
